Another Russian invasion is imminent.
Then he will stretch out his hand against other countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape. But he will gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; and Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his heels. -Daniel 11:42-43
Using the ancestral lineages of Gog and Magog, the Bible identifies Russia as the "King of the north" whose role in the end times drama is the invader of countries. In this verse, we learn that Egypt will be among the countries that are overrun by Russia. While the time stamp is limited to "the time of the end" (Dan. 11:40), we can expect this event to occur between present day and Russia's invasion of the Holy Land (Ezekiel 38:18-19) on day 1,294 of the tribulation period.
In the book of Ezekiel, we are informed that Russia will not be alone when the mid-tribulation attack on Israel occurs. And in the verse from Daniel above, we see that Russian forces will be accompanied by troops from Libya as well as Ethiopia (modern-day Turkey) when Egypt becomes the target.
